At the Animal Medical Clinic, we strive to meet the individual needs of your pets throughout their entire lifetime.

Preventative Care :  Preventative care is very important to us.  It is much better for our furry family members if we prevent bad things from happening.  We will provide education on vaccines, heartworm and intestinal parasite testing, and wellness bloodwork opportunities.  We will also keep you informed of things you can do at home to help prevent problems such as heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.  We consider most dental procedures as preventative care as it contributes to the overall health of the pet.  The Animal Medical Clinic also has medicated shampoos, supplements and prescription diets for when your pet needs a little extra help with their haircoat, joints or other health ailment.

Diagnostic Testing : When your pet is sick, we may need to do diagnostic testing to determine how to help them feel better.  We are fully equipped to help your pet with in house blood testing and digital radiography.  If an ultrasound is needed, we have a certified veterinary sonographer come directly to the clinic to help our patients.

Hospitalization :  When your pet is too sick to be at home, rest assured, we will take excellent care of them here.  The Animal Medical Clinic is equipped with a critical care ward that is set up for oxygen therapy, warming therapy and IV fluid administration.  It is direct view from our treatment area for ongoing close monitoring by our staff.  We do everything we can to make the stay here as comforting as possible.  If you would like to see where your pet will be staying, please ask us.  We are always willing to give you a tour.

Surgery :  Several different kinds of surgery are performed by Dr. Atkins.  When a surgery is necessary, she will go over pre-operative concerns, the steps of the surgery and post-operative care.  An estimate is always given as well.  It is our utmost concern that our clients trust us.  We will make sure all of your questions are answered to the best of our abilities.  We know how stressful it is when one of our pets is having surgery.  We will call family members with updates as soon as your pet is in recovery.  Most pets get to go home the same day of their surgery but occasionally, they will have to spend the night to keep quiet.

Chiropractic Treatment : Dr. Atkins is certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Chiropractic Care can be helpful for a variety of different ailments in pets.  If you have noticed your pet slowing down, having back pain, abnormal lameness or any other concerns, feel free to ask us if chiropractic treatments would help.  Chiropractic care has been a wonderful addition to helping our patients live happier and healthier lives.
